NesscoInvsat Telecommunications, a leading global provider of communication solutions and services, has been awarded a contract by its Norwegian partner, Teleconsult A/S, to provide turnkey communications for their project with Aker Floating Production ASA.  Teleconsult will deliver a total telecommunication and navigational solution onboard the SMART-01 vessel, including commissioning and start-up, with assistance from NesscoInvsat.

The first in a series of new generation standardised Floating Production Storage Offloading (FPSO) vessels, SMART-01 has already been snapped up by Reliance Industries Ltd. for operations offshore India, with the construction of SMART-02 well under way and plans to build several more to meet market demand.  The vessels will be built to a generic design, with modules being added to meet client's particular requirements.

NesscoInvsat will deliver the specialist Satellite, Telephone, Data, Closed Circuit Television, Onboard Radio, Public Address & General Alarm, Paging, Entertainment and Weather systems required to operate the vessel safely and efficiently.
