NesscoInvsat Telecommunications has announced the latest in a succession of contract awards from Teleconsult A/S to provide a complete 2400SE marine stabilised satellite antenna and associated equipment for the FPSO BW Peace project.
BW Offshore is set to upgrade the vessel BW Endeavour and rename it BW Peace, before beginning operations for Peak Petroleum Industries Nigeria Ltd and Equator Exploration Ltd in the Bilaribi Field, offshore Nigeria from Q2 2007.
The 2.4m C-band satellite system will allow BW Offshore to extend their corporate voice and data services to the vessel, allowing them to effectively manage day-to-day operations and provide welfare services to the crew.
Norwegian telecommunications company, Teleconsult A/S, has worked with NesscoInvsat for almost 5 years providing satellite equipment and space segment services.
"Our ongoing relationship with Teleconsult has proved a very successful one, and we look forward to continuing this with new projects in the future", stated Tom Smith, NesscoInvsat's Managing Director.
"NesscoInvsat's track record in the provision of integrated satellite solutions has meant that our client had no hesitation in placing this business with us", said Thor Jostein Jacobsen, Managing Director of Teleconsult.
