UK-based telecommunications systems integrator, NesscoInvsat Telecommunications, today announced that it has secured a number of offshore communications contracts in the West African oil and energy market.  The Aberdeenshire headquartered company has been awarded the contracts by Monaco-based Single Buoy Moorings (SBM) Inc to supply turnkey communications for the FPSOs Mondo and Saxi-Batuque which are owned by SBM and Sonangol, and will operate in the Kizomba field, offshore Angola.

NesscoInvsat is providing a combination of vital systems to ensure effective and efficient emergency and safety communications on the FPSOs.  Experienced NesscoInvsat project engineers will design and project manage the integration of these individual elements.  Systems supplied include: Public Address and General Alarm systems, PABX / telephones, GMDSS radio, crane radios, a variety of Inmarsat satellite systems, a telecoms emergency shutdown system, CCTV, navigation aids, weather monitoring which includes a radar system for measuring sea state, and a substantial test equipment package.  The projects will then be delivered, installed and commissioned at the Keppel shipyard in Singapore. 

Speaking of the contract wins, Tom Smith, NesscoInvsat's Managing Director, explains why the turnkey communications systems installed on these floating production vessels like the Mondo and Saxi-Batuque, continues an excellent track record for NesscoInvsat.
