Maintaining the company's success in the Brazilian oil and gas market, NesscoInvsat Telecommunications has been awarded a $1million contract by Queiroz Galvão Óleo e Gás.  This latest project will see NesscoInvsat supplying integrated telecommunication services to the Olinda Star semi-submersible drilling vessel.

NesscoInvsat has been contracted to design and engineer a communications solution which will include cinema and TV distribution, VSAT (very small aperture terminal), telephone and public address subsystems.  The systems will all be delivered to Rio de Janeiro.

"This is our first project with Queiroz Galvão so we will be using this opportunity to demonstrate our strong capabilities for project delivery to the highest standards of quality and safety", commented Mauricio Escovedo, NesscoInvsat's Business Development Director for Brazil.  "The award demonstrates the continued high demand for NesscoInvsat's services in Brazil."

The Olinda Star is currently being upgraded to work in depths of up to 1,100m, which will enable operations in Brazilian deep waters.
